Watching a fire

Early this morning Patty and Josh headed downtown because the fire department was burning down the old moose lodge. We had front row seats in our car in the parking lot across the road from the action.

Josh loved every minute of it. We watched the fire fighters use their tools to break the window, cut down a tree and cut a hole in the roof, and then the big finale was watching the excavator knock down the brick walls.

Our neighbor Pete is a fire fighter for Barre City- and he came and visited with Josh while the fire was burning, and even let Josh try on his hat. That made Josh's entire month easily.
