Our new woodstove

Sad to think we are already planning for winter in the middle of July! Our woodstove arrived this morning, and got installed pretty quickly! I think it looks pretty good. You can also see in the pic the hearth that Brian built.

We have about 1/3 of the wood we need here at the house so far. Although it is still in a huge pile in the yard. We still have to move it to the basement and stack that before we get the other 2/3rds. Any volunteers to come help?

We are now on the hunt for a tea kettle or steamer for the top of the stove, and for something to put the wood in when its in the living room. Brian thinks maybe he will just build a box for the wood, not sure yet. Oh and an ash bucket, need one of those too. ha ha

Back to the monsters I go. They are full of it today, as we have been stuck inside for two days because of the pouring rain. Hopefully this weekend will be semi decent, its homecomming days in town, and the boys want to go to the parade and other festivities!
