HE FINALLY DID IT!!!!

We have been having the pooping in the potty fight with Jake for sometime now. It wasn't a matter of was he ready to do it, it was more a fight of wills- he just simply didn't want to do it- eventhough he had been doing it for a long time earlier this spring.

This morning he finally just did it on his own! He had been whining all morning that he needed to go but found every excuse in the book to not sit on the potty long enough to just do it. By 10:30 the sun had come out (rare event around here lately) so we took the boys outside to play. Jake was running around pantless and we brought his little potty outside too in the off chance he actually would use it. Well after a few tries of just sitting on the potty briefly after we prompted him- he grabbed his potty (without us seeing) and sat down and just did it. He shot right up - looked into his potty and yelled I DID IT!!! He was sooooo proud of himself, and we were all doing the happy dance!! Afterwards he got to make a few phone calls to announce his accomplishment and then got the candy bar bribe we have been offering him for weeks!!

Hopefully now we are back on track!
