Happy Spring!

Spring has finally arrived, and the snow has begun to melt! Swim lessons are finally over, and last week baseball season has begun! Jake is playing on a minor league team, and Emily has started T-ball. Josh is staying busy with 4-H and taking care of his flock of chickens.

Jake's first fish!!

Today was a busy outside day! We started our morning by going to the fishing derby that the local fish and game club put on. (They had stocked the river with trout). Unfortunately the boys didn't catch any, nor did they get any nibbles. There were a TON of kids on the river and i'm sure that was a good reason why.
So after an hour of trying we headed to the state park in waterbury. This weekend is Vermont Days which means free admission to all state parks. We had a great time playing in the sand, fishing and even swimming! The boys and I went and tried our hand at fishing, and were getting nibbles with each and every cast. Jake was the only one to get one to stay on the hook which he was pretty proud of. He is now a true fisherman, as each time we ask him how big his fish was it gets bigger and bigger.
We will post more pictures from the lake soon, they are on the card in brian's new camera and I haven't dug that out yet.
