Happy Spring!

Spring has finally arrived, and the snow has begun to melt! Swim lessons are finally over, and last week baseball season has begun! Jake is playing on a minor league team, and Emily has started T-ball. Josh is staying busy with 4-H and taking care of his flock of chickens.

Last Day of Summer Vacation

Today was Josh's last day of summer vacation. He officially goes back to school tomorrow morning! So we decided to do something super cool and fun today to celebrate his last day. Brian headed north with our neighbor early this morning to go cut more wood for the winter. So I bravely packed all three monkeys in the car and we headed to the fair in Caledonia county. About an hour from here. We normally don't take the kids to many fairs because the costs are insane! But this one isn't all that bad .The admission includes all the rides which is worth it when you have two boys that love rides! All three kids were super GREAT all day long. No complaints, they listened, they stayed close to me (it helped that it wasn't overly busy!) and were just wonderful.
Here are their top 3 favorite things:

Jake- DEMOLITION DERBY "It was AMAZIN"
The maple creamee
Going on the ridesJosh- The Demolition Derby
Watching the Ox Pull Competition (we easily watched this for over an hour and the boys didn't get bored!)
The rides
Emily- Loved the animals
And REALLY loved riding on the carousel. oh my goodness did she giggle while on it :)
mommy & emily on the ferris wheel
Josh was a lil nervous at the start of the ferris wheel
Watching the oxen pull. That lil girl fell love with the boys and they thought it was cool her daddy was in charge of one of the teams
