I apologize for not staying on top of our updates like I used to. I really have no good excuse, other than the norms of staying busy with three kids, especially around this time of year.
Last week Monday, all of us along with grandma Claire and Papa Tractor enjoyed the Thanksgiving Luncheon at Josh's school. Josh was very proud to show off his little sister and his grandparents that came along. Josh is loving and thriving at school. He misses school when he isn't there (weekends, vacations). Everyday we are completely amazed at the amount of information he is soaking into his little head. He seriously is a sponge. Right now his class is studying state capitals and so far he knows 17 of the 50.
Jake is still an over energetic 3 year old. Every week on Mondays we attend the library story hour, and on fridays we go to a playgroup in Barre Town. This is a great time for us to get out during the week and hang out with other kids and moms.
Both boys and Daddy are enjoying their skating lessons on Saturday mornings. This week Jake attempted to skate without help from the milk crates for support and managed a few steps alone. Josh can now skate all the time with out the help of crates. He finally learned how to get up if he falls and now is working on stopping ("like a real hockey player" and gliding)
Emily is turning into quite the little person. Her vocabulary is growing daily, along with her confidence to get into more mischeif. Her new "trick" is to go to the other room with the boys and take a toy away from them, and then when they take it back she screams loudly because that gets her brothers in trouble. ha ha Already learning how to get them in trouble. She still has only the two little teeth on the bottom. We are going to put two front teeth on her letter to santa. She was supposed to have her one year appointment on the 13th of this month but our pediatrician called us a few days before hand and told us it would be smart to reschedule. They were being overwhelmed with sick kids with the flu, and he wanted to keep her away from those germs. So we gladly postponed her appointment.
Last month after getting some encouragement from a few friends I decided to start my own photography business on the side. I didn't think it would take off as quickly as it did. I am only doing 4 sessions a weekend that way I can still be with the kids during the week, and don't get too overwhelmed with editing. When I started in October it didn't hit me that I was starting right at the beginning of christmas card picture season, so I got in at the right time and am booked every weekend now through the week before christmas! If you would like to see my website it is: http://littlemoosephotography.blogspot.com
Brian is staying busy with work, his real estate business has been as busy as previous years which is nice considering the economy and the crash in the housing market.
We had a great & quiet thanksgiving here at home. We cooked the last of our big hams from the pigs we had on the farm. It was so nice not to have to worry about traveling, or cooking super huge meals. The boys spent the whole day in their jammies and we had a great day being lazy together. Perfect in my mind!
We hope everyone is well, and I will try and update this more often.
