Happy Spring!

Spring has finally arrived, and the snow has begun to melt! Swim lessons are finally over, and last week baseball season has begun! Jake is playing on a minor league team, and Emily has started T-ball. Josh is staying busy with 4-H and taking care of his flock of chickens.

We Got A New Car!!

On Sunday Brian got home from picking up our new car!!! It is a 2003 VW Passat GLS. It has leather seats (heated in winter!), a sunroof, and power everything. It had only 32,000 miles on it! It is soooo nice, and we got a super good deal on it. Where did we find such a nice car you ask? Ebay lol. We had been looking for a diesel passat, (you can't buy them new in VT), but after a little research we realized that diesels were going to cost us about $5000 more than a gas car. Then I found this one which was being sold by a dealer in Birmingham, Alabama. So after a few emails and phone calls we decided to get this car. Brian flew out on Saturday morning (very early!) and then drove the 20 hour drive home on Saturday and got home late Sunday evening.

We all went to take Brian to the airport on Saturday (left at 2:30 AM) . After we watched his plane take off Henry and I took the boys on a mini vacation weekend. First we headed east to Hampton Beach to swim in the Ocean. We got there around 7:30 in the morning and stayed until 10ish. It was going to be a super hot day, and the beach was crowding fast, so we decided that the $1.50 an hour for parking wasn't too worth it. From there we headed north to Great Glenn New Hampshire (Mt. Washington) and got a camp site at our favorite campground (yes we planned this ahead of time), and camped there for the night. On Sunday morning we were up before DAWN, as the auto road opened at 4:30 am so that people could go to the top to watch the sunrise. It was totally worth it. Visibility was over 150 miles so everything was crystal clear. Itw as a chilly 39 degrees at the top and a bit windy, so the boys weren't too excited about being out in the cold. After breakfast at the top we went down to the campground, packed up our stuff and headed home. On the way home we saw a MOOSE. This was my 5th one for the summer. Henry's second ever!
