Happy Spring!

Spring has finally arrived, and the snow has begun to melt! Swim lessons are finally over, and last week baseball season has begun! Jake is playing on a minor league team, and Emily has started T-ball. Josh is staying busy with 4-H and taking care of his flock of chickens.

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas as a family of 5 this year! The boys eagerly put out cookies and milk for santa on christmas eve, then didn't go to bed until almost 10:30 because they were "too excited". Josh kept waking up in the night because he thought he heard something on the roof, and was sure it was Santa. Both of them were up bright and early at 6:30 and ran downstairs to check to see if Santa Came. We knew they found their stash when we heard Josh exclaim "he came, oh goodie!". The next 3hrs was busy opening gifts and playing with each one. The boys definetly made out well this year. lol.
That afternoon we all enjoyed a 2hr nap, then we were busy once again, this time packing for our quick weekend trip to Michigan. We left at 6 am on Friday morning, and drove all day - made it to the hotel by 7 that night. Traffic in Toronto was insane, makes us very greatful we don't live in a city and don't have to deal with that on a regular basis.
We spent Saturday and Sunday in Michigan. All 3 kids took full advantage of the pool. Emily loved the pool, and on average was in there about 45 minutes each time. The boys on the other hand were in there for over 2 hours each time. I think it helped having both uncle mark and uncle adam in the pool too playing with them! On Saturday night we had our christmas dinner with brian's mom side of the family, followed by more presents. Jake got his christmas wish thanks to uncle adam, and got a SCOOTER! He was sooo excited opening it, he was shaking! I think he would of slept in bed with the scooter if we had let him. He would not let it leave his sight, and even used it in the hotel hallway going between rooms. ha ha ha.
Yesterday morning we once again hit the road early, and headed for home. Luckily we beat the snow storm, as we heard later that the roads were slippery. All 3 kids did really good in the car, we were very lucky in that department!
We have a whole bunch of pictures to share, so enjoy!
