Happy Spring!

Spring has finally arrived, and the snow has begun to melt! Swim lessons are finally over, and last week baseball season has begun! Jake is playing on a minor league team, and Emily has started T-ball. Josh is staying busy with 4-H and taking care of his flock of chickens.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! A little late yes I know, but hey better late than never! We brought in the new year at a friends house with another couple and their kids. Josh suprised us and stayed awake long enough to watch the ball drop, say happy new year and kiss his sister. He was fast asleep in the car before we were even out of their drive, ha ha. We played games and just hung out it was a great time.

2008 was another great year for us. Here's a recap (stealing kelly's idea).

1. In November we were blessed with the arrival of Emily. She is such a great baby, and fits right in with our family.
2. Brian and I had our first vacation together away from the kids EVER, and went to Germany for 4 days in August.
3. Jake got potty trained!
4. Josh started school, and was upped to Kindergarten after 2 months of preschool.
5. After 9 months of being a SAHM, I went back to work as the new project director of TLC.
6. We bought a woodstove for our living room and are heating our house entirely with wood!
7. Fish population explosion- need I say any more. heee heeee
8. We went on a family vacation memorial day weekend to Acadia National Park
9. Brian managed to stay quite busy this year with real estate transactions even though the market has slowed down quite a bit.
10. We all are healthy and happy! No major illnesses- unless you count the 3 weeks straight of the nasty puke bug the boys had this past winter. ugh

In 2009- we are looking forward to- (no particular order)
1. Watching Emily grow and change every day.
2. All 3 kids will be going to swim lessons. Josh has moved up to level 1 ~aka the big kid class
3. Achieving our goal to get rid of a lot of "stuff". We are hoping to move the summer of 2010 so time to start decluttering now! wish us luck with that one.
4. Going camping a lot more once the weather warms up
5. Spending new years (hopefully.. ) in North Carolina on the coast where its WARM!
6. Josh will be turning 5 and Jake 3- oi where has the time gone!
7. Hanging out with our friends old and new.
